I edit books at all stages of the publishing process—from inception to publication—and have a wealth of experience editing and publishing fiction and nonfiction for both adults and children. My clients include St. Martin’s Publishing Group, Flatiron Books, Tor and its imprints, Sourcebooks, Workman Publishing, and more.
As a book coach, I work with you to firm up your book idea and create a book outline so you can begin writing with confidence. For nonfiction, I’ll conduct market research to ensure your book idea will stand out in the crowded marketplace, and together, we’ll create a detailed outline that makes your idea shine.
For developmental editing, my services include a full edit of your manuscript, whether you are preparing to query an agent, self-publish, or are querying small publishers directly. Other services include: query evaluations and nonfiction proposal evaluations. This service includes an editorial letter.
As a copy-editor, I focus on editing for grammar and punctuation, style and format, and fact checking as needed.
As a proofreader and/or slugger, I edit first and second pass pages for consistency, and to ensure that the designed book pages are free of typos and typesetting errors.
Other services offered include query evaluations, manuscript and/or nonfiction proposal evaluations, and translation work (French-to-English).
