It’s about time I had a happy post!
Today was pretty excellent. My mom picked me up from MARTA and we went thrifting—found a beautiful green blazer and FOUR belts! For a grand total of $7. Not too shabby! Work was relaxing and fun—as it typically is with Toria, Jasmine, and Kim—and two wonderful people came in to visit me, one who I have been missing for a very long time. I satisfied a cookie craving at Great American Cookies and spent time with Dimi at L’Occitane when I finished my shift. Got home, ate dinner, am now sitting at my laptop happy and comfortable in glasses, leggings, and a tank top.
Sounds so simple, but I have always been pleased with the simplest of things. I believe that’s why shopping is so fulfilling to me—purchasing a wonderful new item (at a great price!) is one of the most satisfying things for me. And also, being reassured that there are people around who love and care for me makes a simple day absolutely perfect. (Lena, if you’re reading this, thank you for being such a wonderful friend. Love you <3) Thank goodness for today! I am so immensely blessed, and days like this are really necessary to remind me of that fact. Can't have too many discouraging days in a row.
Here are a few photos as evidence of my perfect day:
